Winstone Aggregates is a leader in aggregate products and services in New Zealand. We operate 11 extractive quarries and 2 joint venture quarries with our partners in addition to our cleanfill, labs and transport functions. We are the trusted aggregates solution partner for the concrete, roading, rail, and other infrastructure industries.
We have an exciting opportunity for an all-rounder fixed plant Quarry Operator located at our quarry in Otaki. Working the day shift, you will be happy to work 6am – 5.30pm with the occasional weekend work.
This quarry operator position is full of variety. We are looking for someone who has experience in articulated dump truck operating also experience with excavator or loader experience would be an advantage. This is a role that will have you upskill in heavy machinery such as the loader, dump truck, watercart, and fixed plant. There will be a physical component to this job while you’re on the fixed plant, it is recommended that you are able to lift 25kgs.
To be successful for this role you will need to have:
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence
- WTR advantage
- Mechanically minded
- Health and safety conscious
- Right to work in New Zealand
- A great positive and willing to learn attitude
You will need to be a good listener and more than anything, be health and safety conscious.
