An exciting chance to join a team of people passionate about Why we do what we do
Work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
Permanent, fulltime role based in either our Porirua, Paraparaumu or Levin branches
Great salary + company vehicle + incentive bonus + big-company benefits

Mico New Zealand is proud of its history of serving New Zealand’s communities for the past 75 years. Mico Plumbing and Bathrooms is New Zealand’s leading specialist supplier of plumbing and bathroom products to trade, retail and commercial customers with a reputation for quality and customer satisfaction. We are part of Fletcher Building, a diversified global building industry company. With 66 branches and over 500 employees throughout New Zealand, we are the biggest name in plumbing and bathroom supplies.

The role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Mico Sales Team in this permanent role. We’re looking for an experienced Sales Representative with a strong Sales background and preferably a good network within the building industry, to develop and foster relationships to secure Mico products into businesses in the plumbing and building sector.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and servicing the area from Porirua up to Levin. You’ll work with existing customer accounts building long term customer relationships and maximising sales, whilst seeking out new business in a highly competitive market.

About you

You’ll bring your natural relationship skills to this role, to ensure that our customers are provided with the ongoing exceptional levels of service they’ve come to expect from Mico. Your customer-centric and solutions-focused attitude to your customers and the business will ensure your success in this fast-paced role.

Your ability to build rapport and relationships will be your strength. Your existing network within the building industry would be beneficial, and while knowledge of our industry or related industries will be a huge benefit, being an agile learner will serve you well.

A strong personal and work ethic is essential, and you’ll operate according to the importance of giving your word to your customers and making them and their needs your priority. Being able to build positive work relationships with the team and work collaboratively with them, will contribute to your own success as much as to the success of our business.

The flexibility for travel is a must for this role, to stay in touch with your customers. Attending customer and company events is occasionally required, but we’re a business that’s mindful of a healthy work-life balance.

What’s in it for you

In return, we’ll offer you a competitive package including vehicle, excellent opportunities for training and development, and a very strong and supportive team environment. As Mico New Zealand is also part of Fletcher Building, there are great opportunities for training and career development, plus company benefits.

Applications close on Monday, 31st January 2022 (unless the role is filled sooner). We will be screening applications as they come in.

Please note that the Talent Acquisition team are on leave over the Christmas period from the 23rd December, and not returning to the office until the week of the 10th of January, so please note that there will be a delay in us getting back to you with an update on the status of your application.
