Our Pipelines business has recently been re-established and is in strong growth mode, providing pipelines solutions to a large customer base across New Zealand. 

The role

We have an exciting opportunity in this newly-created role, where you’ll join a growing part of the Mico business as we step back into the Pipelines sector and look to become a market leader. 
Initially, the role will have a remit throughout New Zealand, but as the business grows, will focus on looking after the North Island.

Reporting to the National Pipelines Business Development Manager, the Pipelines Sales Manager role will be to provide support to our growing base of customers with project quoting and supply and ensuring a great customer experience. You’ll also assist the regions’ sales teams through planning, motivating and coaching, to achieve and better their sales targets and provide training in our branches for the operations teams around our products. Your relationship skills will prove invaluable, as you collaborate with the teams and your peers, as well as building and strengthening relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

With a collaborative style, you will know how to get the best out of people and will enjoy seeing others grow and succeed. You’ll model a strong customer service culture and build and foster positive relationships between the sales team and the teams in the branches, to ensure high level service delivery.

Success in this role is about your strong collaboration skills and technical knowledge of the Pipelines business! We’re looking for someone who will empower our teams and grow the Pipelines business, so relationship skills are key. Your general business acumen will be a great advantage in maximising the profitability of your regions, through maintaining budget alignment, and actively seeking out opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs, as well as developing and implementing regional sales and marketing plans.

The flexibility to travel throughout New Zealand is a must for this role, to stay in touch with the teams and your customers. Attending customer and company events is occasionally required, but we’re a business that’s mindful of a healthy work-life balance.
