We need a Quantity Surveyor with a passion for their work to join our strong, supportive team and benefit from the opportunities we can offer. Located in Wellington or Christchurch, you’ll be working with a great bunch of people who are driving BPC’s strong growth and expansion.
Your responsibilities will include contract reviews, budget and cost control, forecasting, development of subcontractor and supplier agreements, claims management, commercial risk management and reporting.
We’re seeking someone with a solid grounding in the civil infrastructure or buildings space, with the ability and experience to create strong links with our new business and project delivery teams. You will enjoy building strong relationships with foremen, engineers, and contract managers to ensure effective end-to-end commercial management.
You will be someone with relevant experience and qualifications in a QS role within the construction or building industry. Your expertise will span from project setup phases, right through to final account. A key component will also be your ability to engage and monitor suppliers and subcontractors who can manage the demands of multiple projects, and a natural ability to build strong professional relationships with a range of people. You will have strong computer-based skills, particularly in programmes like Excel and JDE, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
