Our Higgins team in Hamilton have an exciting opportunity within the Chipseal crew.  

Are you keen to start your career in the Civil Infrastructure Industry but don’t know where to start?  Then this role is the perfect entry point for you into the civil construction industry.  We will provide you with all the training you need to grow a successful career with us.

The Chip Runner works within crews on a day to day basis, conducting site works and activities in accordance with project plans. Your day to tasks will include: 
General labouring activities assisting your crew
Acting as a spotter for our Chip spreading truck
Running chip through adjusting the application, and manually spreading chip if required,
Following health and safety standards and procedures

About you:
No experience, no problem, we will give you all the training you need. However, it is essential that you hold a current Class 1 Drivers Licence in addition to:
A can-do attitude
The ability to work hands-on as a team player
A high level of physical fitness as you will spend your days outdoors and on your feet.
Good timekeeping skills – punctuality and reliability is key!
Show good initiative and confidence in decision making and problem solving 
Confident communicating with the public and management 
Show commitment to keeping yourself and everyone else on site safe
