About the role
We are looking for a rockstar Senior Corporate Affairs Advisor to join our Corporate Affairs team. Spanning 30 businesses, multiple stakeholders, and diverse subject matter, this is not a role for the faint of heart, however it is a role for someone wanting to turn the notch up on their career by honing their broad set of skills and receiving on the job training to become a first-class corporate affairs specialist.
This role covers the full communications spectrum, so we are looking for a communicator who can seamlessly integrate internal and external comms strategies, develop positive and carefully nuanced messages and one who understands it’s less about us and more about our audiences.  You will appreciate the important role building the profile of Fletcher Building and its leadership has to the long-term success of the business.
External experience is required allowing you to slot into our  day-to-day media management requirements. Additionally, you’ll be adept at creating experiences that engage and inspire our diverse community of employees by connecting them to our company purpose and values and ensuring they understand Fletcher’s vision, strategy and performance objectives.

About you
You’ll be a curious and energetic self-starter who brings creativity, dynamism and storytelling skills to every project. You’ll have the fortitude to think on your feet and quickly pivot direction as priorities change.
You will possess a thorough understanding of the complexities of communicating to large and diverse audience groups and be able to navigate your way through ambiguity to come up with sound communication decisions.
Most importantly you will understand comms instinctively, that fundamentally it is about building strong and mutually beneficial relationships with all your stakeholders. You will be a trusted advisor who is able to impart your knowledge to get the right result for the business.
