About the role:

Based in our Mt.Wellington branch, working Monday to Friday and every second Saturday morning in the Showroom, you play an integral role providing internal support to the Sales Team to maximise sales opportunities and build long-term customer relationships. On occasion you will be front-of-house in our Showroom and will be our customers first point of contact, working closely with our trade and retail customers whilst offering exceptional customer service.

You will be responsible for understanding customer needs and providing professional solutions; generating sales; meeting sales and margin targets; contributing to sales budgets and strategies for future business opportunities, whilst keeping up to date with the latest plumbing/bathroom trends and improving your product knowledge.

You will be juggling a number of tasks at any one time, along with problem solving, whilst ensuring everything operates smoothly and efficiently. To do this, you will need to think quickly on your feet, be extremely well organised and able to prioritise, be service-driven and solution-oriented. Your resilience and ability to think logically even when under pressure will certainly come in handy in this ever-changing environment. Multi-tasking is all part of this exciting role so you will need to keep a clear head!

You will be an engaging and adaptable individual, able to build rapport and effectively communicate with QS’s and Site Supervisors, whilst having a strong customer service focus and time management skills. 

What you will bring:

  • Proven experience in a retail, customer service or sales environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction with solution-based results
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written, and great communication skills
  • Computer literacy with the ability to maintain high attention to detail will set you up for success
  • A team focused, can-do attitude and a smile!
  • Knowledge of the plumbing and/or building industry would be an advantage.
