Description:

The Higgins Green Team in Tāmaki Makaurau have a great opportunity to join the finance team as an Assistant Accountant. 

Reporting to the Branch Accountant, you’ll assist in the delivery of finance, and contract management support services for the branch through helping to manage and complete the financial and commercial reporting including budgeting, forecasting and daily/weekly/monthly financial reporting.  This also includes working with Project Managers to ensure contractual claims, earned value, cost forecasting and reporting is completed.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting with up to 3 years post degree practical accounting experience
  • Ideally Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) or at least working towards this 
  • High attention to detail
  • Highly organised, ability to prioritise 
  • Skilled in using Excel 
  • Excellent communication skills
