About You / The Role
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to take on a key role as part of our Brian Perry Civil branch in Hamilton. Your responsibilities will include budget and cost control, forecasting, development of subcontractor and supplier agreements, claims management, commercial risk management and reporting. This role will see you supporting the current and potentially upcoming project portfolio as it expands. 

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about cost control and commercial management of projects. You will have a solid grounding within the civil infrastructure or buildings space, with the capability and experience to create strong links into our project delivery function. You will work on a range of small and large projects. You will have the ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders in relation to a range of commercial activities – estimating, variations, cost coding and budgeting to reporting and ensuring project contractual conditions are fully understood in relation to commercial delivery of projects. 

You will have a few years’ post-degree experience within the civil construction or building industry.  sharp analytical skills and the ability to make quick decisions with confidence. Your expertise will span from set up phases, right through to final account. A key component will also be your ability to engage and monitor suppliers and subcontractors who can manage the demands of multiple projects, engaging with our clients and teams, along with a ‘best for project’ focus on commercial outcomes.
