About the role:
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a financial markets professional to join the wider Corporate Finance and Performance team as a Treasury Dealer. Reporting to the Group GM of Treasury & Risk, the primary function of this role is to execute financial market transactions (Money Market, Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate and Commodity transactions) with both external counterparties and internal business units. As well as performing the dealing role and being the key contact with the business units, the role will support the wider Treasury agenda getting involved in a range of projects and opportunities. This role supports the management of Fletcher Building’s funding, foreign exchange, interest rate and commodity price risks and will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with banks and other key financial service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective deal execution.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with Fletcher Building Business Units to ensure the financial market risks that they face are identified, measured and managed appropriately as well as ensuring adherence to the Group’s Treasury Policy.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with deal execution.

You will have treasury knowledge, experience in managing risk, and possess excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills. We expect you will have a relevant tertiary qualification with 3-5 years financial markets experience obtained within a Banking or Corporate environment. You will have a have strong working knowledge of legal and compliance requirements, as you will be required to actively manage risk. We expect you to be commercially savvy, enjoy problem solving and analysing the financial performance of businesses. You will have excellent excel modelling skills, an analytical aptitude and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
