The Role 

  • The purpose of the HSE part of this role is to provide support to the Head of HSE and wider HSE Team.  
  • Works collaboratively with Operations Leadership to drive health, safety and environmental initiatives and performance through the development of HSE leadership capability.  
  • Ability to provide proactive best practice advice, tools and support that navigates the operational requirements of the business whilst maintaining the highest standard of health, safety, and environment.  
  • Provide support regarding the successful implementation of our HSE Roadmap
  • Ability to positively increase HSE performance by building a safety culture through their ability to influence and coach others. 

About you

  • Actively fosters a health, safety & environmental focused culture where employees play an active role in Health, Safety & Environmental of the organization.  
  • Passionate about being able to coordinate, implement, and administer HSE initiatives to ensure the workplace maintains the highest professional HSE standards and complies with all relevant legislation and ACC AEP programme.  
  • Being the leads in all risk assessments, site compliance audits, risk solutioning, operational procedures within their portfolio
  • Strong working knowledge of the New Zealand legislative environment including HSE, ACC, Environmental compliance and industry guidelines and standards. We are looking for someone who will offer excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to positively engage and interact with our construction teams.
