• Permanent, fulltime role based at our National Support Office in Christchurch
At Mico New Zealand, we’re proud of our history of serving New Zealand communities for the past 75 years. Mico Plumbing and Bathrooms is New Zealand’s leading specialist supplier of plumbing and bathroom products to trade, retail and commercial customers with a reputation for quality and customer satisfaction. We are part of Fletcher Building, a diversified building industry company. With 66 branches and over 500 employees throughout New Zealand, we are the biggest name in plumbing and bathroom supplies.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant or Accounts Payable Administrator or Clerk or Officer, with some AP or Finance experience to join our Finance team at our National Support Office in Christchurch.
You’ll be responsible for the processing, reconciling and resolution of supplier payments, and you’ll provide an organised and efficient accounting service to internal customers and external suppliers. Our suppliers’ accounts are a combination of varying size and complexities, and across the team of five, transaction volumes are approximately 27,000 invoices over 800+ supplier accounts, per month.
Your ability to develop strong, long-term relationships with our internal teams, as well as a wide range of our customers and suppliers, will be key to this role.
Apart from your obvious strong dexterity for numbers and working in an organised manner, success in this role is about your customer-centric and solutions-focused approach. You’ll have the ability to seamlessly deliver a great experience to our internal and external stakeholders, through strong communication and reliable service. Mico makes it easy and you will express this in your day-to-day work and service to your network and stakeholders.
A high level of processing and reconciliation accuracy, combined with good analytical skills is required, along with demonstrable experience in the use of fully integrated ERP systems. A strong personal and work ethic is essential, as is your IT savvy and attention to detail.
You’ll have the ability to manage your own workload and handle pressure, all the while maintaining a good sense of humour.
What we can offer you
In return, we’ll offer you a great package and opportunities for progression, excellent training and development, and a strong and supportive team environment. As Mico New Zealand is also part of Fletcher Building, there are great chances for career development, plus big-company benefits.
Applications close on Sunday, 10th July 2022 (unless the role is filled sooner).
