Due to internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a people leader to oversee our production staff and day to day activities of our busy Christchurch Civil manufacturing pant, based in Hornby. Your key role will be ensuring quality output, and the delivery of manufacturing objectives. The focus is on developing the team, improving systems, methods, processes, and maintaining a safe environment. If you like improving processes, then this could be the challenge you’re looking for.
You will understand what manufacturing excellence means and how to get the best of your team. Prior experience and a proven understanding of core manufacturing processes, quality control, cost management and leading production staff is essential. You’ll also need to have good problem solving skills, be cognisant of the bottom line of the business and reducing wastage. You will champion health and safety for a zero harm result within your team. We are looking for someone who will motivate and lead the team, as well as set high expectations of themselves and their staff. Qualifications in Manufacturing and other manufacturing process training will be an advantage.
