We are looking for a Completions Lead to join our team on the Eastern Busway project to coordinate construction works through to quality close-out.

The Eastern Busway is a significant project for Auckland and forms a key part of the region’s rapid transport network. Similar to the Northern Busway, it will create separate lanes for new high-frequency bus services to connect people from Botany, Pakuranga and the surrounding suburbs with the rail network in Panmure. The project includes cycling and walking paths, safety, environment and roading improvements, and a Reeves Road flyover, giving people a range of travel options and more reliable journey times.

About the role:
You will offer support with existing Design, Engineering and Construction Delivery and Supervision Teams through coordination of handover activities during the construction period.  You will directly manage project handover to post Practical Completion and formally transition the asset to the Owner as well as;
  • Develop, implement, and manage the Handover Plans and required systems Including both the Works Handover Plan, and the Closeout Plan
  • Ensure Works Handover and closeout tests are complete, accurate and available in a timely manner to achieve sign off for the Works Completion Certificate and Closeout Test
  • Provide day to day direction, performance monitoring and management support throughout the delivery of the project
  • Provide expert input and project management support to the Construction Manager and Supervision staff as the project approaches Practical Completion
  • Actively demonstrate safe work processes, and behaviours and ensure these are followed by all employees and contractors in their place of work

About you:
You will have strong experience in complex and/or large-scale projects, preferably Design and Construct (D&C) initiatives, and a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent. You will have proven leadership experience in the industry, along with excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills. You are confidently able to initiate, grow and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally, with key stakeholders.

What’s on offer:
  • Competitive package + great employee benefits, including educational support
  • Clear opportunities for training and career growth
  • Internal mobility across an exciting portfolio of current project and future works
