The role
Based at Support Office in Penrose, the purpose of this role is to provide support to the finance function and wider business through performing accounting and administration tasks.  Your role will involve working with a wide range of stakeholders including branch employees, key suppliers, business vehicle drivers, the wider Fletcher Building finance team and management to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and support cost management.

About you

You will have an inherent drive to learn, grow and develop your career and will be working towards or have completed a tertiary qualification in accounting. To be successful in this role you will need to be proactive with a high level of detail and accuracy, excellent communication skills and competent in time management. You will be a team player who enjoys problem solving, working in a fast paced environment and is committed to meeting deadlines. A good level of computer literacy in Microsoft Excel is required and experience in JDE software is preferred. As you will be dealing with our valued internal and external customers the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships will impress. An investigative mind with sound problem solving skills is essential.
