Description:

We are looking for a new Network Manager for our Eastern Bay of Plenty State Highway Maintenance Contract (NOC). We are seeking someone who is motivated by a road network with plenty of physical and climatic challenges, who has proven experience in the monitoring of network performance, who can successfully lead the Contract’s stakeholder management processes, and who can oversee the delivery of the annual plans and forward works programmes.

Operating principally from our Contract base in Rotorua you will administer a 530km highway network across three district council areas and a diverse range of environments.  You will have a financial management focus with the ability to manage forecast costs to achieve budget requirements. An understanding of contract documents and the proven ability to deliver Contract Monthly and Quarterly Reports is essential.  A working knowledge of Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency funding rules and reporting processes is also desirable.

Naturally motivated, you will draw on your strong technical knowledge, responsive and practical approach, organisation skills and good decision making.

If this sounds like a role for you then this is what you will need in order to successfully deliver to the business and our customers:
  • Significant industry experience with previous experience in a NOC environment at senior level being desirable 
  • A working knowledge of H&S requirements in the Civil Engineering industry
  • Formal tertiary qualification OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation.
  • Sound understanding of NOC best practice that apply to contract management 
  • Proficient Computer skills (MS packages)
  • High attention to detail
  • Flexible and resilient approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that enable the building of effective relationships with key personnel, including supporting teams at the senior management level
