Description:
Based in Whangarei, Golden Bay are looking to grow our project team to execute a significant capital investment plan which is targeted at building local manufacturing capabilities, decarbonizing our products and improving the efficiency of our manufacturing and supply chain facilities nationally.
To help us deliver on this plan we are looking for an experienced Project Engineers, Project Managers and Project Coordinators to join our team.
What will you do?
As a key member of the Capital Projects Team, you will work on a wide variety of projects from small-scale plant improvements through to new build equipment installations and major process and infrastructure upgrades. As a direct representative for Golden Bay, you will be involved in all phases of a project from initial feasibility assessment, development and planning through to construction, commissioning and handover to operations.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
• Working with Golden Bay Maintenance, Operations and Management teams to identify and scope initial stages of capital projects.
• Lead work streams with key consultants and suppliers to reach resolve technical issues and complete equipment specifications and technical documentation.
• Develop project plans, schedules and cost estimates.
• Progress reporting, cost tracking and procurement.
• Contractor management, onsite supervision and commissioning assistance.
• Overseeing final handover of projects to operations.
What about you?
Ideally you will be collaborative team player that can work with the minimum of supervision, supporting change through positive engagement and involvement with others.
You must have a strong focus on health, safety and the environment and have the drive to ensure improvement across these areas through smart design, and stakeholder engagement.
Past design management, project / construction management or project delivery experience is essential and previous experience with cement manufacturing and handling, or heavy industrial processes is advantageous. An engineering background or degree is desirable, but not essential.
