The Building Products Division of Fletcher Building employs over 1900 people across more than 60 manufacturing, distribution and sales sites in New Zealand. We create products used to build homes, buildings and infrastructure – including insulation, plasterboard, steel products, laminate surfaces and plastic and concrete piping. Our businesses include Winstone Wallboards, Laminex New Zealand, Comfortech, Humes, Iplex Pipelines and Fletcher Steel.
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Building Products Recruitment team and take the next step in your career. You will partner with one of our core business units, Winstone Wallboards, to source the best talent in the marketplace and provide a high level of service to our internal customers and our candidates in a fun and high performing environment. This is a pivotal time for Winstone Wallboards as they commission a new plant in Tauranga and plan to decommission their Auckland plant in late 2023.
This role will see you taking ownership of a key portfolio of work and partnering with key leaders across Winstone Wallboards to facilitate the effective mobilisation of our new manufacturing facility in Tauranga. You will manage the end-to-end recruitment process from brief to offer and take pride in delivering an excellent candidate experience. Furthermore, you will:
- Coordinate and facilitate all 'Project Basalt' recruitment with our industry partners
- Coordinate GIB® Open Days and Assessment Centres etc
- 360 recruitment of all BAU roles
- Facilitate the mobilisation of people, providing relocation and other support to our employees
- Support non transitioning employees with redeployment
- Provide support to the HR team with HR initiatives
- Assist with onboarding and inductions etc
You will be an experienced recruiter with excellent communication skills, an internal recruitment background and feels comfortable forging new relationships with key stakeholders while establishing strong networks with hiring managers. As this is project work (until December 2023), you'll also need to be adaptable in your work approach and be comfortable working in an environment with lots of variety . Most importantly, you will enjoy what you do and know how to have a bit of fun along the way.
