Our Mico Penrose store is a small but well-established branch providing trade solutions to a large and loyal trade customer base, residential solutions to home builders and commercial solutions to the local business sector.

The role

We have an exciting role, where you’ll join a stable and thriving branch and enjoy the variety and opportunities of working in a small and experienced team, within a large organisation. At our Penrose branch, we’re committed to improving our customer experience, and we want our staff to have the same passion.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this is a varied role that will see you working behind the Trade Counter, ensuring that your customers, who are made up of tradies, businesses and home-owners, are greeted with a cheerful smile and exceptional service. You’ll also spend time in the warehouse, receiving and sorting incoming deliveries, picking/packing and dispatching orders for delivery to our customers. You'll learn how to maintain stock levels, liaise with suppliers and produce quotes for our commercial customers.

You’ll have the chance to learn our products, and this will give you the chance to progress in the branch, the business, and the organisation. Product or industry knowledge would be a real bonus, but we have heaps of great training materials, if you’re a willing learner!

This is a permanent, fulltime role, working Mondays to Fridays, with rostered Saturday mornings.

About you

To shine in this role, you’ll bring a customer-focused attitude and strong work ethic to the business and be prepared to work closely and flexibly with the rest of our team. The ability to build rapport and relationships should be your strength, and your IT savvy will be a must.

There is manual handling required, and so you’ll need to be physically fit and strong. A full, clean, class 1 drivers’ licence is required, and a forklift licence would be a real bonus!
