Located two hours South of Perth, the Dardanup site is divided into a Particleboard, LPM and Support Services team, which include stores replenishment, industrial technologists, scheduling, engineering, research, and development. We currently employ a workforce of 185, the majority of whom work on a continuous shift roster. 

Where your story begins:

We are seeking an experienced and safety orientated Production Planner – Raw Board to join our Dardanup site in Western Australia.

This is a standard day shift position 6am-2.30pm, Mon- Fri, 40 hours p/w. It is a salaried role with a highly competitive base. 

Key focuses & responsibilities will include:
  • Planning short and long term operations (engineering, maintenance & production) activities to contribute to the overall objectives of the RST, focussing on efficient and cost effective maintenance services and actively contributing to safe work practices and the Protect  principles.
  • Maintain current and accurate records within the CMM system to enable the identification, scheduling, coordination and reporting of preventative and corrective maintenance activities, including closing work orders, recording relevant work order data, and creating follow up work orders.
  • Thoroughly plan and organise all work prior to distribution to relevant parties for execution, including preparing job plans and complete work packages for each task, identifying and arranging the availability of parts and resources, and estimating and scheduling work in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure maintenance policies and planning procedures are applied consistently, including reporting policy or procedure exceptions related to planned maintenance activities, parts procurement, and work execution, and making recommendations for corrective actions and continuous improvement.

To be successful in the role you will ideally need to possess: 
  • Cert 4 Front Line Management (or equivalent)
  • Electrical or Mechanical trade background
  • Sound planning / forecasting skills
  • Sound knowledge of CMMS
  • Excellent financial planning skills including estimating Plant Contract labour requirements
  • Formal training in preventative maintenance and/or planning processes
  • Training in Root Cause Analysis techniques
  • High level of computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Word / Excel, Lotus Notes etc) and expertise in  computer-based maintenance planning systems.
