Description:

Sales Representative – Mico East Tamaki

Exciting chance for an experienced B2B Sales Rep to grow your career in the Trade Retail industry
Work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
Permanent, fulltime role based out of our East Tamaki branch; covering East Auckland

Mico New Zealand is proud of its 76-year history. Mico Plumbing and Bathrooms is New Zealand’s leading specialist supplier of plumbing, pipelines and bathroom products to trade, retail and commercial customers with a reputation for quality and customer satisfaction. We are part of Fletcher Building, a diversified building industry company. With 68 branches and over 540 employees throughout New Zealand, we are the biggest name in plumbing and bathroom supplies.

The role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Mico Sales Team in this permanent role. We’re looking for an experienced Sales Representative with a strong B2B Sales background and preferably a good network within the building industry, to develop and foster relationships to secure Mico products into businesses in the plumbing and building sector.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and servicing the East Auckland area. You’ll work with existing customer accounts building long term customer relationships and maximising sales, whilst seeking out new business in a highly competitive market.

About you

You’ll bring your natural relationship skills to this role, to ensure that our customers are provided with the ongoing exceptional levels of service they’ve come to expect from Mico. Your customer-centric and solutions-focused attitude to your customers and the business will ensure your success in this fast-paced role.

Your ability to build rapport and relationships will be your strength. Your existing network within the building industry would be beneficial, and while knowledge of our industry or related industries will be a huge benefit, being an agile learner will serve you well.

A strong personal and work ethic is essential, and you’ll operate according to the importance of giving your word to your customers and making them and their needs your priority. Being able to build positive work relationships with the team and work collaboratively with them, will contribute to your own success as much as to the success of our business.

The flexibility for travel is a must for this role, to stay in touch with your customers. Attending customer and company events is occasionally required, but we’re a business that’s mindful of a healthy work-life balance.

What’s in it for you

In return, we’ll offer you a competitive package, excellent opportunities for training and development, and a strong and supportive team environment. As Mico New Zealand is also part of Fletcher Building, there are great opportunities for training and further career development, plus company benefits such as an Employee Education Fund and an exciting and forward-thinking new parental leave policy.

Applications close on Sunday, 2nd October 2022 (unless the role is filled sooner).

Please note:
Vaccination status (whether vaccinated or not) is recorded by the business
A full, clean New Zealand drivers’ licence is required
A full pre-employment medical, including a drug test, will be required
You must currently be legally entitled to live and work permanently in New Zealand, to be considered for this role

We are proud of the incredible diversity of people who make up our business! As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we strive to create an inclusive environment for all our employees across our national network of branches throughout New Zealand.
