Mico Plumbing and Bathrooms is New Zealand’s leading specialist supplier of plumbing and bathroom products to trade, retail and commercial customers with a reputation for quality and customer satisfaction. We are part of Fletcher Building, a diversified global building industry company and the biggest name in plumbing and bathroom supplies.

About the role:

Reporting to the Branch Manager in our East Tamaki Branch, this is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday only.

A varied and fast-paced role mainly handling Inwards/Outwards Goods but with some driving duties as and when required. Your average day will see you: unloading trucks, receiving and receipting inwards goods, checking goods are in top condition before putting them away, maintaining stock accuracy, organising freight to be on-sent to suppliers, packing the delivery van and making sure the warehouse and inwards goods area is clear and tidy at all times…and all whilst ensuring that we provide an exceptional service to our customers.

We’re a culturally-diverse, close-knit team who are motivated to succeed so you’ll be a like-minded individual who is a team player and willing to help out wherever needed in the branch. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment but remain calm under pressure and work well with others to achieve our goals.

Hours are Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.00pm with no weekend work. Paid overtime opportunities are always there too.  Trade or plumbing-based experience would be an advantage, although training will be given, but a can-do attitude and bubbly personality are what’s really important to us!

You will need to hold a Full Class 1 NZ drivers licence.  A forklift licence and/or experience would be advantageous but we can teach you.  As manual handling and heavy lifting are a requirement for the role you would also need to be physically fit and able.

What we offer:

In return, we’ll offer you a great hourly rate and opportunities for overtime, excellent training and development and a strong and supportive team environment. As Mico New Zealand is also part of Fletcher Building, there are great chances for career development, plus big-company benefits.

Please note, a full pre-employment medical, including a drug test, will be required and you must currently be legally entitled to live and work permanently in New Zealand.

If you have a great attitude to work, are reliable and enjoy hard work whilst being able to have a joke and a laugh, then we’d love to hear from you!

We are proud of the incredible diversity of people who make up our business! As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we strive to create an inclusive environment for all our employees across our national network of branches throughout New Zealand.
