Where your story begins

You will be a growth focused and commercially astute individual ready to start your journey with Laminex. Due to our continued growth, we have a rare opportunity for a Business Development Manager – Specification to service our clients within the Perth Metro area. Your primary goal will be to gain specification through architects and builders; driven by your ability to identify the source of demand within the market and follow through on sale execution. 

This business-critical role will focus on:
  • Gaining and maintaining specification on major projects
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities
  • Growth of existing accounts to maximise our share of market utilising our entire product portfolio
  • Develop strong networks and relationships within the market
  • Managing your specification pipeline through the project life cycle 
  • Work alongside internal stakeholders to ensure the optimum level of service is provided to your clients.
  • Provide Laminex product expertise and education with the ability to adapt our offering to the differing needs & drivers of individual stakeholder businesses.
  • Effective communication & activity around New Product Development (NPD) launches and articulate any relevant insights or trends.

The role you will play

You will have:
  • Demonstrated ability to identify clients’ needs 
  • Exceptional communication skills to bring to this position coupled with the ability to prioritise customer needs and manage projects throughout the end-to-end sales process.
  • Demonstrated strong face to face call cycle process coupled with exposure to virtual platforms 
  • The ability to think strategically and can look for growth opportunities.
  • The ability to build rapport and maintain long term relationships.
  • A team player attitude; working with transparency across segments to achieve favourable outcomes for the business and clients.
  • Senior sales or BDM experience (equivalent to the current role).
