Mico Plumbing and Bathrooms is New Zealand’s leading specialist supplier of plumbing and bathroom products to trade, retail and commercial customers with a reputation for quality and customer satisfaction. We are part of Fletcher Building, a diversified global building industry company and the biggest name in plumbing and bathroom supplies.

About the role:

Reporting to the Branch Manager in our Queenstown Branch, this is a permanent role, ideally working Monday to Friday 8am-5pm, with a rostered Saturday morning once a month from 9am-12pm (paid overtime), however could also be part time or with flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.

This is an exciting and busy role for someone who is upbeat, flexible and versatile with great attention to detail. A varied and hands-on position, you’ll spend 50% of your time overseeing our inventory - managing and maintaining stock levels, purchasing material and supplies, maintaining a cyclical stock ordering system and co-ordinating stock takes to maximise business potential. The other 50% will be spent in our Inwards Goods area - unloading trucks, receiving and receipting inwards goods, checking goods are in top condition before putting them away, maintaining stock accuracy, organising freight to be on-sent to suppliers, assisting with packing the delivery van and making sure the warehouse and inwards goods area is clear and tidy at all times…and all whilst ensuring that we provide an exceptional service to our customers!

As light manual handling is a requirement for the role you would also need to be relatively fit and able.

About you:

To shine in this role, you’ll bring energy, great communication skills, a customer-focused attitude and a strong work ethic to the business and be prepared to work closely and flexibly with the rest of our team. We are looking for someone with a confident, out-going personality and a natural ability to relate to people.  Our Queenstown team work collaboratively and so your strong teamwork skills are essential to this role. The ability to build rapport and relationships should be your strength and you’ll be IT savvy too.

What we offer:

We love a team player who is prepared to get stuck in with us to get the work done!  In return, we’ll offer you a great hourly rate and opportunities for overtime, excellent training and development and a strong and supportive team environment. As Mico New Zealand is also part of Fletcher Building, there are great chances for career development, plus big-company benefits.

Please note, a full pre-employment medical, including a drug test, will be required and you must currently be legally entitled to live and work permanently in New Zealand.

We are proud of the incredible diversity of people who make up our business! As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we strive to create an inclusive environment for all our employees across our national network of branches throughout New Zealand.
