Where your story begins

Due to our continued growth, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager – Specification to service our clients within Southeast QLD. Your primary goal will be to gain specification through architects and builders, which will be driven by your ability to identify the source of demand within the market and follow through on sale execution. 

This role will focus on:
  • Gaining and maintaining specification on major projects
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities
  • Growth of existing accounts to maximise our service offering to our customers
  • Develop strong networks and relationships within the market
  • Monitoring specification through to the transactional execution of the sale
  • Work alongside internal stake holders to ensure the optimum level of service is provided to clients.
  • Provide Laminex product & brand expertise and education, and the ability to adapt our offering to the differing needs & drivers of individual stakeholder businesses.
  • Effective communication & activity around New Product Development (NPD) launches and any relevant insights or trends.

The role you will play

You will ideally have:
  • Demonstrated ability to identify clients’ needs 
  • Enthusiasm and exceptional communication skills to bring to this position coupled with the ability to prioritise customer needs and value manage projects throughout the end-to-end sales process.
  • The ability to think strategically and can look for growth opportunities.
  • The ability to build rapport and relationships quickly.
  • A team player attitude.
  • Sales or BDM experience 
  • Design or building industry expertise is advantageous
