The role
A great opportunity exists for a forklift driver looking for a position with opportunities to grow and progress in our distribution centre in Gracefield. You will take pride in your work and follow safe work practices and will have a positive attitude and willingness to learn new things. Key responsibilities include;
  • Forklift operation (1.5 tonne reach truck - 5 tonne counterbalance) to pick and pack plasterboard and accessories orders, and load outbound trucks
  • Unload inbound trucks
  • Ensure orders are picked, packed, and loaded accurately to avoid damage in transit
  • Storeman work, receiving stock, receipting, despatching, and other general warehousing duties
  • Permanent role that operates on a Monday to Friday basis (we have three shifts covering 6.30am - 4.30pm) with some overtime available

About you
You’ll be joining a small close-knit team in a stable environment, hence we’re looking for a long-term member who is also responsive to the needs of the team, has excellent communication skills, has a good sense of humour and passion for what they do to fit in with our current team. Training is provided, however, we’re also looking for the following;
  • Full driver’s licence is essential
  • OSH certificate and/or F endorsement license is preferred
  • Our work involves complex operations so you’ll need to be a safety-conscious person who can plan ahead and pays attention to detail
  • You will need to be physically fit as there is some manual handling involved
  • A drug test and medical are part of the employment process.
