The role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our small, fun, Finance team based at our brand new offices in Addington, Christchurch. Reporting through to the Credit Manager, this is a permanent full time position, working Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours to suit your work/life balance and the opportunity of working from home 1 day a week.

You’ll be responsible for: ensuring that customer payments are processed and allocated accurately and on a timely basis with prompt resolution of outstanding items; reconciliating customer accounts and general account maintenance; processing customer refunds and setting up new accounts when required. You will be liaising with our internal customers within the branch network on a regular basis as well as our external customers. Transaction volumes are approx. 75,000 invoices across 8,000 active customers per month.

Your ability to develop strong, long-term relationships with our internal teams, as well as a wide range of our customers, will be key to this role.  

About you:

Apart from your obvious strong dexterity for numbers and working in an organised manner, success in this role is about your customer-centric and solutions-focused approach. You’ll have the ability to seamlessly deliver a great experience to our internal and external stakeholders, through strong communication and a reliable service.  

A high level of processing and reconciliation accuracy, combined with good analytical and organisational skills, is required. Previous experience with JDE would be fantastic, but is not essential, as full training will be given. A strong personal and work ethic is essential however and you will need to be proficient with the MS Suite.
