Showroom Consultant - Mico Hutt City
- Job Type:Full time
- Category:Customer Service
- Business Group:Mico
- Location:Lower Hutt
- Job Reference:
- Closing Date:02 Apr 2023
Our Mico Hutt City store in Lower Hutt is a small but busy branch, boasting a beautiful showroom while providing trade solutions to a loyal trade customer base, including home builders and the local business sector. Mico New Zealand is a leading supplier of plumbing and bathroom products to the trade, retail and commercial sectors, with 69 branches and around 550 employees throughout New Zealand.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will play an integral role within our showroom where you will offer product support and design solutions for our stunning front-of-wall bathroom products. You will be our customers’ first point of contact, so you’ll need to ensure that your customers, who are made up of tradies, businesses and homeowners, are greeted with a cheerful smile and exceptional service.
You will be responsible for maximizing bathroom sales as well as promoting exclusive product offers while keeping up to date with the latest plumbing/bathroom trends and inspiring our customers with a winning in-store experience.
While most of your role will be in the Showroom, the nature of working in a small team means you may also be needed to assist filling in here or there on the odd occasion, such as with Counter Sales. You’ll have the chance to learn our products, and this will give you the chance to progress in the branch, the business, and the organisation.
This is a permanent, fulltime role, working Mondays to Fridays, with rostered Saturday mornings.
To shine in this role, you’ll bring a customer-focused attitude and strong work ethic to the business and be prepared to work closely and flexibly with the rest of our team. The ability to build rapport and relationships and work collaboratively with your teammates should be your strength, and you’ll be IT savvy, too. Experience in a sales or retail environment would stand you in good stead for this role, but your attitude and an interest in our industry is what matters.
What we can offer you
In return, we’ll offer you a competitive package, excellent opportunities for training and development, and a strong and supportive team environment. As Mico New Zealand is also part of Fletcher Building, there are great opportunities for training and career development, plus company benefits, such as an Employee Education Fund and an exciting and forward-thinking new parental leave policy.
The career opportunities are exciting! Mico has a culture of career paths and development and career progression, with people in our business staying for up to 40 years and enjoying a varied career. For those coming into the business at an entry-level, we’re able to offer opportunities to start a career in Retail Sales, Warehousing & Distribution and Driving.
Applications close on Sunday, 2nd April 2023 (unless the role is filled sooner).
• Vaccination status (whether vaccinated or not) is recorded by the business
• A full pre-employment medical, including a drug test, will be required
• You must currently be legally entitled to live and work permanently in New Zealand, to be considered for this role
