Like You, We’re Proudly Building New Zealand! It’s something we are proud to have been a trusted part of, for over 90 years and counting. Every day, passionate and dedicated people come together as an industry to help build healthy, sustainable homes, creating a better future for all New Zealanders.
GIB® Plasterboard is the number one choice by customers in New Zealand. Our quality and reliable products, along with our unparalleled service and support is what sets us apart. When you start with us, you will learn that we are all brought together by the passion we have for putting the customer at the heart of everything we do.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring the competitiveness of Winstone Wallboards’ products, systems, and solution offerings by developing, nurturing, and growing positive business relationships with identified residential key accounts/market segments, primarily Group Home Builders, to increase sales and value for Winstone Wallboards.
The role’s responsibilities will include and not be limited to:
- Develop and build strong relationships across our customer sector, reinforcing our product offer, service and values
- Provide insights back to the business on developing and evolving trends in the sector
- Ensuring the correct use of GIB® products by providing technical support, including the necessary training support to groups within the market segment
- Responsible for the attainment of the Sales Budget for the area
- Maintaining the company's position through relevant analysis of competitors, and gathering market intelligence
You will be reporting directly to the National Sales and Channel Manager and work in partnership with our Area Sales Managers, Market Managers, and Architectural Commercial internal teams. Externally, you will collaborate closely with brand partners, major builders, and developers in the residential and commercial building markets to develop partnerships and facilitate mutual benefit.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in the Building industry, expertise in sales/marketing, commercially astute, relationship management, and strong negotiation and influencing skills. You will have demonstrated in the past that you are capable of thinking in non-traditional ways about the opportunities for facilitating mutual benefits with partners but will also have a real orientation towards getting things done. You should be comfortable working in the building environment with a “solutions” approach and have the leadership and interpersonal skills to be effective in an organisation of this nature.
This is a career opportunity that offers challenge, variety, and scope! The role is designed to attract candidates of superior caliber and it includes some awesome benefits and perks that come as part of a large construction and building materials company.
