About Us
At Fletcher Living, we don’t just build houses. We do living. Creating spaces where people can live the life they want. We know diversity doesn’t just make great neighborhoods; it builds great companies. A place where you can be you, where you can live your best.
Why Join Us?
We’re a high performing business and are proud to say that we have a highly engaged and successful team. We have a fantastic people culture and encourage everyone to bring their full and genuine selves to work. Our workplaces are enriched by many different nationalities, languages, religions, customs, and lifestyles. We’re proud of this diversity and understand that it brings a richer and broader perspective to how we operate by helping us connect better with our people and with our customer base.
The Role
The role is based at our Auckland South Branch which oversees a variety of communities we’re developing in the South Auckland area. The position focuses on Measuring/Estimating, Commercial Evaluations, Purchase Order Processing and Cost Reporting. As a builder of spec homes, our construction team delivers a finished product which is then handed to our sales team. This means no budget reporting to clients or negotiations and management of variations. Most of the role is office-based, but we encourage our QS team to go to their site as often as possible to help build valued relationships with the contractor teams.
About You
We’re after someone who has passion and energy for creating fabulous communities across the Auckland South region. The ideal candidate will also have:
• 5+ years residential or light commercial QS experience
• A relevant professional QS qualification
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• An innovative and collaborative approach
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent computer skills
Benefits
Along with providing a competitive salary and excellent incentive scheme, you will have the opportunity to get involved in activities outside of a traditional QS role, such as Health & Safety and building relationships with the Construction team on site. And, of course, you’ll also get to enjoy the security, benefits and recognition that come with working for a well-respected business unit within the Fletcher Building Group.
Application Process
Applications should be made by submitting a CV and cover letter outlining your interest, motivation and what you would bring to this role by way of background, experience and fit for the role and our team.
We welcome your individuality. We are enriched by so many nationalities, languages, religions, customs, and lifestyles. We are proud of our diversity and see it as one of the things that make us stronger.
