An exciting role in our central Christchurch branch where you’ll join an awesome tight-knit team and enjoy the variety and opportunities of working with a fun and experienced crew within a large organisation. 

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday with relatively flexible working hours to suit you. This pivotal role plays an integral part in maximising sales opportunities, exceeding monthly targets and building long-term customer relationships. 

You will be assigned your own customer base and then be responsible for building relationships and liaising with them on a regular basis.  Key to the role will be understanding their needs and providing professional solutions, receiving and quoting on large orders, ordering products to specific time frames for their projects and communicating delivery times and availability of products where required.  A lot of scheduling and pulling together of information is required and this role is akin to a project management-style role. 

You will be juggling a number of tasks at any one time, along with problem solving, whilst ensuring everything operates smoothly and efficiently. To do this, you will need to think quickly on your feet, be extremely well organised and able to prioritise, be service-driven and solution-oriented. Your communication and time management skills with be paramount and, above all, customer service expertise will be paramount.

To shine in this role, you’ll bring a customer-focused attitude and strong work ethic to the business. The ability to build rapport and relationships should be your strength and you’ll be IT savvy too. Trade industry/plumbing knowledge and/or product experience would be hugely beneficial, but your attitude, personality, strong character and resilience is what really matters!

You will be an engaging and adaptable individual, able to build rapport and effectively communicate at all levels, whilst being customer-centric and an awesome team player.
