The Fletcher Construction Company is a leading general contractor, delivering a wide range of projects nationwide. We deliver impressive projects at both local and national level across New Zealand and the South Pacific.
We are on the hunt for a proactive, qualified Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team at the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) based at our Federal Street site office.
The key to being successful in this role lies in having a proven track record within the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor and ideally with local experience. Responsibilities will include budget and cost control, forecasting, development of subcontractor and supplier agreements, claims management, commercial risk management, and reporting as required by the project.
As well as being able to roll your sleeves up and get involved at all levels of the project, we want someone who is commercially savvy coupled along with the ability to step back from the detail and look at the big picture. You will need to be someone with very high levels of initiative and the ability to sense and seek out issues as well as being able to address them accordingly.
You will be practical, adaptable, have an eye for detail, and confidently liaise across a range of stakeholders.
Ideally you will have a Services background with experience in fire, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing and drainage.
