Description:
Mico Plumbing and Bathrooms is New Zealand’s leading specialist supplier of plumbing and bathroom products to trade, retail and commercial customers with a reputation for quality and customer satisfaction. We are part of Fletcher Building, a diversified global building industry company and the biggest name in plumbing and bathroom supplies.
The role:
An exciting role, where you’ll join our busy, but fun, Invercargill branch and enjoy the variety and opportunities of working with a close-knit, experienced team within a large organisation.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role will see you predominantly working in our Inwards Goods yard and driving our delivery vehicle. Your average day will see you: unloading trucks, receiving and receipting inwards goods, checking goods are in top condition before putting them away, maintaining stock accuracy, cycle counting, forklift loading, packing the delivery van, driving deliveries and making sure the warehouse and inwards goods area is clear and tidy…and, when required, you will also be helping out serving customers on the counter during busy times, whilst ensuring that we provide exceptional service to our customers all of the time!
This is a permanent, full-time role, working Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7.30am-5pm (with some flexibility) and 1-in-3 rostered Saturday morning’s from 9am-12pm with paid overtime.
About you:
To shine in this role, you’ll bring energy, a bubbly, customer-focused attitude and a strong work ethic to the business and be prepared to muck in and work with the rest of our team. The ability to build rapport and relationships should be your strength and you’ll be IT savvy too. You will need to be fit and able, as this is a physical role, and having your forklift licence would be a real bonus too.
We are a close-knit, fun-loving, sociable team, looking for someone with a confident, out-going personality and a natural ability to relate to lots of different people. We all pull together so being prepared to get stuck in and assist where needed is a must.
What we can offer you:
In return, we’ll offer you a great hourly rate and opportunities for overtime, excellent training and development and a strong and supportive team environment. As Mico New Zealand is also part of Fletcher Building, there are great chances for career development, plus big-company benefits.
Please note, a full pre-employment medical, including a drug test, will be required and you must currently be legally entitled to live and work permanently in New Zealand.
We are proud of the incredible diversity of people who make up our business! As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we strive to create an inclusive environment for all our employees across our national network of branches throughout New Zealand.
