Description:
Our Mico Invercargill store is a busy commercial branch, providing trade solutions to a loyal trade customer base, including home builders and the local business sector.
Mico New Zealand is a leading supplier of plumbing and bathroom products to the trade, retail and commercial sectors, with 70 branches and around 550 employees throughout New Zealand.
The role:
An exciting Fixed Term role, covering a period of parental leave, where you’ll join our busy but fun Invercargill branch and enjoy the variety and opportunities of working with a close-knit, experienced team within a large organisation.
A varied and fast-paced role handling Inwards/Outwards Goods and with driving duties as required. Your average day will see you: unloading trucks, receiving and receipting inwards goods, checking goods are in top condition before putting them away, maintaining stock accuracy, organising freight to be on-sent to suppliers, packing the delivery van and driving deliveries and making sure the warehouse and inwards goods area is clear and tidy at all times. When required, you will also be working behind the Trade Counter, ensuring that you bring your great customer service skills into play as you liaise with them on their orders and support them to keep their businesses on the go!
This is a full time role, working Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, and every third rostered Saturday morning from 9am until 12pm (for paid overtime).
About you:
To shine in this role, you’ll bring a customer-focused attitude and strong work ethic to the business and be prepared to work closely and flexibly with the rest of our team. Our Invercargill team work collaboratively and so your strong teamwork skills are essential to this role. The ability to build rapport and relationships should be your strength and you’ll be IT savvy too.
Manual handling and heavy lifting is a requirement for the role so you’ll need to be physically fit. A full, clean, Class 1 drivers’ licence is also required and whilst forklift experience is not a necessity, it would be a real bonus!
What we can offer you:
In return, we’ll offer you a great competitive hourly rate, excellent opportunities for training and development and a strong and supportive team environment.
Please note, a full pre-employment medical, including a drug test, will be required and you must currently be legally entitled to live and work permanently in New Zealand.
We are proud of the incredible diversity of people who make up our business! As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we strive to create an inclusive environment for all our employees across our national network of branches throughout New Zealand.
