We currently have an opportunity for a Workshop Assistant / Operator to join our team at the Higgins Taupō Branch. 

You will be responsible for assisting the Workshop Manager and team with the maintenance and repair of medium to large plant, equipment and road transport. You will also assist the Asphalt Plant with operating a loader to load bins and undertake general yard work.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • A background in the mechanics industry is sought after but not essential – support and training from the Workshop Manager will be provided
  • Full Class 1 Drivers licence (WTR a bonus!)
  • Previous experience operating loaders and different plant machinery
  • Passion for our industry and the willingness to work hard and learn
  • A safety-first attitude – for yourself and the public
  • Team player who is physically fit 
  • Flexible, committed and reliable – will turn up rain or shine
