Ko tā mātou mahi | Our Role
We are seeking a dedicated Sustainability Manager to join our team on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will lead our sustainability initiatives, working closely with various stakeholders to drive positive environmental and social impacts across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies, policies, and programs to align with company objectives and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular environmental assessments and audits to identify opportunities for improvement and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with internal departments to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations, including procurement, production, and logistics.
- Engage with external partners, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to stay informed of emerging sustainability trends and regulations.
- Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics, tracking progress towards goals and communicating achievements internally and externally.
- Lead sustainability-related training and awareness programs to promote a culture of environmental stewardship among employees.
Ngā Pūmanawa | What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sustainability management, preferably in the construction materials or related industry.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, carbon foot printing, life cycle assessment, and sustainable development principles.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability initiatives within a corporate setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in project management, data analysis, and reporting.
