Health and Safety Advisor – 2 Years Fixed Term Contract

The role
Due to internal movements with in Winstone Wallboards a rare opportunity has arisen for a 2-year fixed term contract for a Health and Safety Advisor.  The role will be varied, busy and will have you involved in all aspects of Health and Safety. Conducting machine guarding audits and recommendations, root cause analysis, leading hazard management and ensuring a proactive approach are key areas for this role which require skills in mentoring, advising, engaging and leading. 

A hands-on role and the key to success will be applying proven performance in leading effective safety action and engaging managers, leaders and operators across the site to achieve results. 

About you
You will ideally have 5 years’ experience in a similar role, communication and facilitation skills, drive, energy and a commitment to high standards. 

An expert understanding and practical knowledge of NZ Health and Safety legislation and standards / Codes of Practice is a must, as is experience managing and leading change initiatives, practical Health and Safety experience from working in the manufacturing and building industry. 

This is a challenging role where you will need to build relationships with a range of stakeholders, so your strong interpersonal and leadership skills will be essential to your success.
