About the role

We’re seeking a Bid Manager to join our Central Region, based in either Tauranga or Hamilton. This role suits either an experienced Bid Manager or a Civil Project Manager looking to move into Bid Management.

Lead the preparation of competitive, profitable, and high-quality tender proposals up to $20m. You’ll develop bid strategies and provide leadership, direction and control on all aspects of the bid process.

This role will see you developing and maintaining effective long-term working relationships with stakeholders, customers, partners, and suppliers. From time to time, you may also get involved in bid writing and will engage directly with our customers – that means there’s lots of variety!

About you

Our new business team works in a dynamic environment driven by deadlines, often with multiple tenders running concurrently. We’re seeking a high energy, self-motivated person who can ensure momentum is maintained during the tender process.

You’ll have the ability to bring people and content together to meet deadlines and client expectations. You’ll also bring with you:

Previous involvement with bid management or within bid teams
Experience in tender management, successfully setting up delivery teams up for success with accurate cost bases whilst exceeding client expectations
Strong track record of building relationships with prospective external partners, clients and stakeholders
A team player who brings their whole self to work and enjoys working with others
Understands methodologies in complex civil construction and can articulate in writing
Sound understanding of the risk profiles with various procurement models and the treatment of risks to reduce commercial exposure to an acceptable level.
