Description

We have an opportunity for a Junior or Apprentice Diesel Mechanic to join our Higgins workshop in Tauranga.

As a Junior or Apprentice mechanic, your role will focus on the repair and maintenance of both heavy plant and trucks. You will be working alongside a team of experienced mechanics who work together to solve problems in a safe environment.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles and equipment 
  • Experience working  on plant e.g. diggers, graders, loaders, dozers, milling equipment 
  • Level 4 Trade qualification or similar is preferred 
  • Class 2 -5 license highly sought after 
  • Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Committed to a safety-first culture 
  • Availability to work an on-call roster
