The Group Finance & Performance team has oversight for performance management, financial control, corporate office income and expenditure, settlements, treasury accounting, Group IT accounting, and is a key interface across the Group from a finance perspective.

About the role
We have an opportunity for a Treasury Accountant to join the wider Group Finance & Performance team. The Treasury Accountant plays a key role in preparing the accounting for Treasury and associated transactions such as external borrowings, internal loans, derivative financial instruments, interest expense, monthly tax reporting and financial statements. 

This includes monthly performance reporting, and the preparation of notes included in the Group’s annual and interim financial reports statements and other subsidiaries Treasury entities.

About You
To be successful in the role you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and be CA/CFA qualified or studying towards this qualification/s. With at least 2 years' experience in accounting or auditing. Ideally you will have had exposure to reading, analysing and interpreting International Financial Reporting Standards IAS 32 / IAS 39 / IFRS 9, possibly gained from a Big 4 organisation or another commercial business. With practical experience of foreign exchange and fixed income market practices you will have an appreciation of sound internal control processes and procedures. 

You will be highly numerate with excellent analytical ability and attention to detail. Along with a strong interpersonal skillset, you will have excellent communication skills to enable you to manage many different stakeholders, both internally and externally. Exposure to JDE and MS Office toolset would be advantageous.
