About the Role
  • Quoting and estimating from customers’ Bill of Materials and/or plans.
  • Provide administrative support to Senior Sales Managers, Account Managers, Estimators and Project Managers in relation to quoting/tendering and assisting with the management of projects 
  • Liaise with internal Iplex departments such as Contracts, Pricing, Procurement and Planning to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and all tenders represent Iplex’s value propositions. 
  • Generating new account leads and site-specific sales leads and contacts through; observations, leads from internal staff and/or external sources.
  • Provide excellent customer service while displaying professionalism, high ethical standards and uphold Iplex’s safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quote/Tender Management: Dive into technical drawings, prepare accurate and timely quotations, and follow up to secure business. Stay ahead of market trends and maintain comprehensive product knowledge.
  • Project Support: Be the go-to expert for initial document consultations, freight quotes, and planning. Contribute to business process improvements and support our sales leaders and team members.
  • Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Engage in monthly project reviews, assist with pre and post-tender negotiations, and share valuable market intelligence with internal stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building and Customer Service: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and preferred suppliers. Ensure their needs are met through regular and effective communication.

What We're Looking For:
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in the civil/construction industry, especially in pipeline-related markets.
  • Estimating Expertise: Ability to interpret working drawings, scoping documents, and tender contracts to create accurate project estimates.
  • Multitasking Mastery: Skill in prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent ability to convey complex technical data in a clear and logical manner.
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional skills in building and maintaining relationships.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for estimation. Experience with JDE or similar technical software is a plus.
