Description

The Higgins Team in Christchurch is currently looking for a Plant Operator to join the team at our Asphalt Plant.  We utilise the latest technology to blend and mix aggregate, bitumen, modifiers, polymers, fillers, and pelletised fibre.  

This is a full-time permanent role, working a minimum of 40 hours.  Hours of work can vary to meet the needs of the business with early morning starts.


What you’ll bring to the role

  • Prior plant operating experience is highly sought after, other relevant plant operating experience will be considered
  • Prior mechanical experience advantageous e.g heavy diesel mechanic/plant maintenance 
  • Class 1 full licence essential - WTR and Class 2 is beneficial
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills required 
  • Strong track record of commitment to health and safety
