About the Role

Are you a dedicated and mechanically minded Tooling Coordinator looking to join a successful Production Team in Brendale? Your primary focus will be to ensure that all tasks are carried out in compliance with Quality, EH&S, and Standard Operating Procedures. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and quality of our production processes by setting up extrusion tooling to agreed standards, cleaning and storing tooling, and packing tooling for intercompany transfers and contributing to tooling maintenance plans and participating in shift changeover activities.

As a Tooling Coordinator you will monitor and stocktake tooling consumables and maintenance parts and check on the delivery of ordered materials. Your role will include identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement in tooling preparation flow to meet cost and quality objectives. You will communicate effectively with the Team Leaders and other cross functional teams regarding any tooling issues, ensuring all tooling is maintained in a usable state to produce quality products. 

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to tooling of a high net value and the actions to protect investment
  • Strong understanding of Quality, EH&S, and SOP’s
  • Experience with extrusion tooling setup, cleaning, and maintenance
  • Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Previous experience building strong cross functional relationships 
  • Enthusiasm and dedication to providing best service levels to the site 
  • Good computer skills with Microsoft 360
  • Attention to detail and able to reprioritise tasks as required
