The Role: Laminex is seeking a dedicated Operation Support Lead to oversee the warehouse floor supervision, dispatch & billing, and logistic fulfilment operations at our Cheltenham site. In this salaried role, you will manage a team of 5 warehouse operators, including a Team Leader, and ensure the efficient processing of customer orders, adherence to DIFOT metrics, and overall workflow optimisation. Reporting to the Support Services Manager, the successful candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills, attention to detail, a proactive safety leadership and continuous improvement mindset, and excellent communication abilities.
Shift Patterns: This is a Monday to Friday role, with no weekend shifts required.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of 5 warehouse operators, including a Team Leader, to ensure operational efficiency and timely, accurate delivery of customer orders.
Oversee warehouse floor supervision, manage customer orders, billing processes, and transport arrangements.
Collaborate with Production and Scheduling on production status and order readiness.
Investigate and resolve billing and receipting issues, and process returns.
Maintain accurate reports on KPIs, order accuracy, and DIFOT metrics.
Support inventory management, cycle counts, and stocktake activities.
Attend weekly meetings with the national logistic team and third-party logistic partners.
Foster a culture of safety and compliance with safety protocols and practices.
Participate in safety observation walks and report incidents and hazards promptly.
Assist with floor tasks when needed and actively contribute to Continuous Improvement projects.
About You:
Strong leadership and supervisory skills with previous experience in a warehouse and logistics environment.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities efficiently.
High attention to detail and strong administration skills.
Proficiency in Warehouse Management System (WMS), Microsoft Office, and ERP systems (BPCS/SAP).
Logical and methodical problem-solving skills.
A 'can-do' attitude, willingness to learn, and a continuous learning mindset.
Ability to coach team members and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
