The Role:

We’re seeking a dynamic and people-focused Plant Manager to lead our operations at the Crestmead site. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing end-to-end operations, from raw material ordering through to manufacturing and dispatch. You’ll be instrumental in driving safety, operational efficiency, and team capability while delivering exceptional outcomes for our customers.

You’ll work closely with national and local support teams to implement strategic improvement plans, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure our systems and processes reflect best practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment and is passionate about developing people and delivering results.

Key Responsibilities

Champion a Zero Harm culture and lead safety-first operations
Develop and execute site improvement plans aligned with business strategy.
Build and mentor a high-performing team through coaching and capability development.
Drive operational excellence through technology, systems, and cultural uplift.
Manage budgets, optimise costs, and ensure efficient resource utilisation.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance DIFOT performance.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver customer excellence.
Occasional interstate travel may be required.

About You

Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, construction materials, or FMCG.
Strong people engagement and coaching skills.
Excellent communication and business acumen.
Experience leading large, multi-shift teams.
Knowledge of systems such ERP system (M3, M4, SAP or similar) and reporting and analysis tools (Qlik, power BI).
Financial and operational decision-making capability.
A mindset that challenges the status quo and drives innovation.
