The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Distribution Manager to lead our Christchurch South Island Distribution function. This key role is responsible for the efficient operation of our busy site. You will lead a 30+ team, fostering a customer-centric and continuous improvement mindset in all our activities, driving a strong culture of Health and Safety and ensuring the optimisation of our incoming and outgoing stock processes. As an experienced Distribution Manager in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will provide excellent service to our customers by overseeing the performance, costs, safety, and security of all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient despatch services and managing the day-to-day inventory on-site. Safety is our top priority, and as a leader, you will champion the belief that every injury is preventable and drive safety performance.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can make a tangible impact and bring a proven track record of leading and developing teams as well as optimising projects in a large-scale warehousing environment.   • Proven track record of success in distribution or logistics management, with transport exposure an added bonus
  • Motivational leadership style with the ability to drive your team to achieve their full potential and drive a culture of continuous improvement 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, allowing you to identify change opportunities for optimisation and implement effective solutions
  • A strategic thinker, able to develop and execute plans to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate cross-functionally with teams, stakeholders, and customers
  • Strong commercial and business acumen with a desire to utilise your analytical skills
