Description

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join the Higgins Bay of Plenty Region.

Reporting to our Region Manager, you will be based at our Mount Maunganui branch and play a pivotal role in our senior leadership team. As the leader of our civil construction division, you will oversee large capital works and minor projects. 

Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of construction project and contract management including commercial and financial performance, client liaison and work programming.   

You will be leading a team of 8 direct reports and a wider team of approximately 70.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Extensive proven experience in a similar type of role, with a key focus on capital works 
  • Understanding of the technical, contractual and financial requirements involved in construction and maintenance contracts
  • Experience in tendering and commercial as well as budgeting, management of P&L and cost control
  • Strong business acumen & business development capability 
  • Civil Engineering Degree desirable
  • Proven track record in coaching and mentoring teams, communication and relationship management skills
