We’re looking for a strategic and commercially astute leader to join our team as Group Commercial Manager. This is a pivotal role providing commercial governance and support across the Higgins’ business in New Zealand and the South Pacific.

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting to Head of Commercial as part of our Group Commercial Team.
Participating in tender reviews to ensure contract risk profiles are understood and appropriate mitigations are put in place.
Undertaking project reviews to ensure robust procurement, cost control, reporting and change management practices are applied.
Leading commercial workstreams on high value complex tender submissions.
Championing health and safety, and commercial business practices.
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

What you’ll bring:

10+ years’ experience in civil construction, with strong exposure to NZS forms of contract, subcontractor procurement, change management and cost to complete practices.
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Legal or related discipline.
Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive commercial outcomes.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Flexibility to travel.
