More About Your New Role

We are on the lookout for a new Technical Sales Engineer for NSW Civil to join our team, you’ll be the go-to expert for Iplex supporting sales through technical guidance, product approvals, and relationship building with councils, water authorities, consultants, and internal teams. You’ll lead specification selling, contribute to tenders and proposals, and ensure seamless delivery from pre-installation planning to post-installation training. Your engineering background and experience in technical environments will be key to driving product awareness and market expansion.

This role demands a confident communicator who is not afraid of data or analytics. You’ll be expected to design and deliver compelling presentations, manage information going into CRM systems (ideally Salesforce), and act as the expert bringing new products to market. Success hinges on your ability to build strong connections, interpret customer needs, and collaborate across teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet evolving infrastructure demands.

Does This Sound Like you? 
  • Come from a strong technical sales background
  • Ideally hold a tertiary qualification in civil or mechanical engineering
  • Previous experience working with Councils and Water Authorities 
  • Exceptional relationships-building and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Advanced CRM proficiency, along with data & digital system literacy (PowerPoint & Excel)
  • Able to deliver compelling presentations both to internal & external customers
  • Ability to service customers across the NSW region- Travel is required
