Description

Are you detail-driven, reliable, and ready to kickstart a career in a hands-on technical role? Firth is looking for a Certified Laboratory Technician to join our team at our Certified Plant based in Manukau, Auckland - no prior industry experience required!

This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow. You’ll play a key role in testing and verifying the strength, consistency, and quality of our ready-mixed concrete to meet relevant NZ standards and Firth’s own high benchmarks.


What You’ll Be Doing
  • Sampling and testing raw materials and finished concrete products
  • Performing day-to-day lab tests to ensure compliance with strict standards 
  • Supporting plant audits and maintaining accurate records 
  • Assisting the Lab Manager with lab operations and customer-focused testing 
  • Building strong relationships with production site staff and technical teams 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 25kg 
  • Holds a Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence 
  • A self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn 
  • Basic literacy and computer literacy for record keeping and reporting 
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to quality 
  • Comfortable with manual labour and hands-on tasks
